About Arden Clark

Great care deserves a strong business behind it.

Margin funds access, supports staff and gives owners room to make better decisions. Helping healthcare leaders build that capacity is the reason Arden Clark exists.

A note from Troy

The work was everyone’s responsibility. It needed someone’s full attention.

I’m Troy. I started Arden Clark because I kept seeing the same problem inside behavioral health and SUD organizations: important initiatives crossed departments, but no one had enough time to drive the whole thing.

The leadership teams were strong. They were also responsible for keeping the organization running. A new service line, a change in admissions or a different business model needed sustained attention on top of that daily work.

At Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, our work reached from financial models and pricing into workflows, dashboards and management routines. Those operating tools mattered because they gave people a way to keep the work moving. You can see that approach in our Lifelong Recovery case study (PDF, opens in a new tab).

I wanted independent owners to have access to that same kind of help. They face many of the same decisions as large systems, with fewer people available to work through them. Hiring another permanent executive isn’t always the right answer.

The Blueprint gives us a practical place to start: understand the economics, test the options and decide what deserves investment. If an owner wants help carrying the plan through, we can agree on a separate engagement and work alongside the team.

I believe great SUD centers deserve great economics. A stronger business can support better access and a more stable team. It also gives an owner more control over what comes next—whether that means growing, continuing to operate independently or preparing for a sale.

That’s the work I want Arden Clark to be known for.

We work with Bob on operating performance and governance. His Delta System™ connects access, patient engagement and financial sustainability through a weekly review of performance against plan.

The framework is part of every Blueprint. Qualified Blueprints also include an executive working session with Bob and his review of the owner/board summary before the final presentation. Additional ongoing access is scoped separately in the Expansion Partnership.
